Richard Lithgow’s original paintings reflect his reverence for the wild. “ I try to paint the textural variations of light and water in the woodland setting. I think I succeed when the interplay of sunlight on a rising trout or the glistening of a fish’s scales underwater are accentuated to capture action transfixed.”
Hours of research and keen observation along with an occasional cast upstream precede each work.
